Tri Basin Natural Resources District- Dr. James Earl Kennamer Scholarship: Description: Student must have a 3.0 GPA, and planning on going to a a 2 year or four year college. Student must participate in hunting, support the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage. A copy of current hunting license is required. Students must hold a current NWTF (NE Wild Turkey Federation) membership. If you are not a current member of NWTF, visit www.nwtf.org or call (800) THE-NWTF to join. Hagan Scholarship: Description: This is a major scholarship that provides up to $7,500 each semester for four years. You also get $2,000 to spend on essential items for college such as a cell phone, computer, clothing, supplies, etc. You haso get an HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage until graduation that will be $10,000 your second year, $15,000 your third year, and $20,000 your fourth year.. If you keep the requirements, your third year students with a 3.5 GPA get an all expense paid study abroad travel experience up to $8,000.

American Legion Oratorical Contest Scholarship: Description: A speech contest where students have an assigned topic that they have to deliver. There is three winners in each district contest: $100 awarded upon compting at area contest and four area winners will be awarded: 1- $1,500, 1- $1,000, 1-$800, 1- $500. The state winner will receive a minimum of $2,000 for appearing in the National Oratorical Contest in MI with a chance to compete for the top prize of $25,000. For more information, see Mrs. Mach. Walter Scott Stem Scholarship: Description: This scholarship offers a fully funded undergraduate experience, covering tuition, room and board, and whole-person learning opportunities. More than a scholarship, it’s a vibrant living-learning community where rigorous academics are paired with growth in creativity, civic engagement, leadership, and wellness.
Requirements: Minimum ACT Composite score of 32 or greater and have a STEM Major. Scott Scholars candidates must plan to enroll in an approved STEM-focused academic program or major. AvaCare Medical Scholarship: Description: A $1,000 scholarship- This scholarship is awarded annually to one submission that tells about an inspiring act of kindness. You can submit writing, an image, or a short video. AvaCare Medical judges will choose five to ten finalists, whose work will then be posted on our website. Voting will be open for a limited time on the scholarship page, after which the winner will be chosen by our judges based on multiple factors including, in part, the number of votes. Requirements: Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, health law, etc. Although all students with the above criteria are welcome to apply for this scholarship, preference will be given to students with a physical disability.
