Not that this is a travel requirement, but a student should want to go.  It's also important that a student understands that this is a field trip and not a vacation.  😉 We are on the go from early morning until the evening visiting sites, eating, and walking... a lot!  The travel requirements are there as a way to measure responsibility and good character.  I am accountable for them all and I need to make sure that the integrity of the trip is maintained and the group will be kept safe, and at the same time, each student will have a great time!  In short, we want students who are respectful and eager to learn to go on the trip.  

Final Note... students should be in good health; the trip is rigorous!  We are up early and get home late with A LOT of walking in between.  We move fast!
