Our Agriculture Mechanics Pathway offers three classes; Intro to Ag Mechanics, Advanced Ag Mechanics, and Ag Construction. All students who complete the Mechanics Pathway upon graduation with a C- or better will receive credit through the articulated course associated with Modesto Junior College Courses. In addition, program completers will receive a Pathway Completion Sash to wear at their graduation ceremonies, as well as an Industry Certification. Students who complete this pathway are industry ready and are able to go straight into the workforce after graduating.
The classes that are offered in our Plant & Soil Science Pathway are; Ag Biology, Soil Chemistry, and Farm to Fork. All students who complete the Plant & Soil Science Pathway upon graduation with a C- or better will receive both an iCEV Certification and a Food Handlers Certification . In addition, program completers will receive a Pathway Completion Sash to wear at their graduation ceremonies.
This Agriculture Pathway offers the opportunity to be in; Intro to Floral Design, Advanced Floral Design, and Floral Management. Students who complete the Ornamental Horticulture Pathway upon graduation with a C- or better will receive an iCEV Certification as well as a Pathway Completion Stash to wear at their graduation. Throughout the course students will get the opportunity to create and design wedding and event arrangements, which will give them real world practice.
Our Animal Science Pathway offers three classes which are; Ag Biology, Animal Science, and Vet Science. All students who complete the Animal Science Pathway upon graduation with a C- or better will receive credit through the articulated course associated with Modesto Junior College Courses. In addition, program completers will receive a Pathway Completion Sash to wear at their graduation ceremonies, as well as an iCEV Certification. Although at the moment our Animal Science Pathway is unavailable due to lack of interest.
Our Agricultural Department also offers two supporting courses, which are; Intro to Ag Science and Ag Leadership. Our Intro to Ag Science class is only offered to seventh and eight graders. This class gives our middle school students the opportunity to be involved in any FFA activities including the StanCo Fair, Conferences, Leadership opportunities, and mentorship with High School students in our Ag Leadership class. The only way for students to get into our Ag Leadership class is by application. In this class students will get Committee Chairperson opportunities for any FFA activities, be Program Leaders for ALL FFA events, and they will recieve a full color FFA Letterman Patch.
