For this project you will need to use a picture of a face you took or found on the Internet that shows an equal amount of each side of the face (face-forward shot) with a neutral expression.
You will get a full page print out of it, cut it in half, and then paste it to a sheet of 8-1/2" copy paper so that it looks like this. If you are left-handed then use the right side of the printout.
You will then do a shaded drawing that is a mirror image to the left side so that it looks similar to this picture. If you need to review the Shaded Drawing Strategies click here.
Do not use pictures that are not straight on such as this one.
If you do, you will get results similar to this.
Also, don't use photos with whacky facial expressions
If you do, the end result could look a bit odd.
