A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

I grew up in Merced, lived in Ohio, Kentucky, and then back to California where I earned my B.A. and M.A. in English Lit at CSU, Stanislaus. After teaching English and coaching Boys Volleyball for many years in SoCal, I moved back once again and found a place in the Denair community.

I consider myself first and foremost an English teacher, with an insatiable curiosity for all things pop-culture, who coaches volleyball, and can be equally encouraging/stubborn/passionate about any of the above.
