🌟 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Become a Student Success Mentor!
Support local learners as they prepare for college, careers, and beyond.
The Youth Achievement Program is launching a new round of student intakes for our College Readiness & High School Equivalency programs — and we’re inviting dedicated volunteers to join us as Student Success Mentors.
This is a powerful way to make a real difference in the lives of teens and adult learners who are building confidence, completing their education, and preparing for college.
✅ What Volunteers Do
As a Student Success Mentor, you will:
Encourage students as they complete their DAACS assessments
Help them reflect on their strengths and growth areas
Support them during weekly coaching check‑ins
Celebrate their wins and help them stay motivated
Provide a positive, judgment‑free presence
Assist with reading, writing, math, or study skills (optional)
No teaching experience required — just patience, kindness, and consistency.
✅ Time Commitment
Flexible and designed to fit your schedule:
1–2 hours per week
Virtual or in‑person options
4‑week or 8‑week cycles
Training and materials provided

A college student, educator, or retired teacher
A parent or community member who loves helping others
