After completing DAACS and initial placement assessments, you will complete the TABE placement assessments. We begin with the reading assessment to help us place students into the proper curriculum. Students may be placed in the following for beginning preparation:
*Adult Basic Literacy
*Pre-High School Equivalency
*High School Equivalency
Students will create a plan with staff. It will be personalized to their current level and mapped out to completion. It may change over time depending upon how a student progresses.
Students will receive their schedule and begin attending in-person classes at the DLC. Classes are more like learning labs. It is self-paced learning with mentors and coaches supporting. Meaning, the coaches are there to assist students when they get stuck on concepts or need supplemental assistance. Coaches SUPPORT the learning and preparation for the tests.
