DLC’s Youth Achievement Program is looking for Academic Tutors who want to help youth ages 16–24 strengthen their skills, build confidence, and stay motivated on their path toward education and career success.
If you’re patient, encouraging, and passionate about helping others learn — this role is for you.
• Support students in core subjects:
Reading • Writing • Social Studies • Science • Math
• Work 1:1 or in small groups
Help students understand assignments, practice skills, and stay engaged.
• Build confidence & motivation
Celebrate progress, encourage persistence, and help students believe in themselves.
• Collaborate with staff & mentors
Share observations, request materials, and help create a positive learning environment.
Strong foundational skills in at least one subject
Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude
Clear communication and teamwork
A passion for youth empowerment
No teaching experience required — we train you
Flexible — typically 2–4 hours per week
