We can offer both a nurturing environment for students who are not yet secondary ready alongside stretch and challenge for the most able.

As previously under subscribed, Durham Federation has additional space to avoid crowding, distinct year group teaching areas and home hubs to create a family environment where everyone is cared for.
Durham Federation is also proud to boast the Bobby Robson Sports Centre including professional standard sporting equipment, the Evolution Soccer Academy which offers professional coaching, a farm, hair salon, Eco garden and a brand new creative art block. We believe that professional standards and preparation for future success can only be achieved in a professional environment and that young people deserve to learn in the very best of facilities.

We know that not all children are the same. Many schools follow a very narrow curriculum which does not necessarily meet the needs of individuals. We don't. We know that we get the best out of children by giving them options they actually want to take and we do not narrow the curriculum in key stage 3. Our students have access to options which currently include Statistics, Photography, Animal Care, Hair & Beauty as well as the traditional qualifications and the English Baccalaureate. We work in partnership with post 16 providers to ensure the right progress route for every child.
We also use and train our students to use the the newest educational technology so that they always have access to learning wherever the are. This makes home learning accessible to all and we have IT technical support available every day if they need help with access.
We also believe that students should learn and and outside of the classroom and this includes in our eco garden and by visiting different countries.
