Definitions:

Climate: Average of weather conditions over time in a specific location

Continental Divide: Divisions made by elevation, mountains, and rivers that separate where water flows

Coordinates: Crossing point of latitude and longitude lines; written as (Latitude, Longitude)

Great Divide: The continental divide that separates the water that drains in the United States to the Pacific Ocean or Atlantic Ocean

Latitude: Parallel lines of division that run horizontally around Earth; divide the Earth into North and South hemispheres

Longitude: Parallel lines of division that run vertically around Earth; divide the Earth into East and West hemispheres

Precipitation: Water that falls from the sky/atmosphere (rain, snow, hail, sleet, etc)

Watershed: An area of land where all precipitation drains to one single point
