My name is Chris Navarro, and I teach physics at Duncan Polytechnical High School. As a teacher, I love creating lessons that are fun, engaging, and challenging in an effort to make complex scientific ideas accessible to all students who enter my classroom. In addition to my work in the classroom, I serve as the 10th grade lead teacher for the Innovative Design and Applied Technology Academy (IDATA), as the Lead Teacher and CCR Rep for IDATA, and as the chairperson of the Duncan Science Department.

I was born and raised in the Fresno area, and in 2012 I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fresno. Since transitioning from engineering to teaching, I have made it my goal to increase my sphere of impact and influence to better serve the students of Fresno Unified School District by maintaining high expectations from myself, my students, and my fellow educators and administrators.

I believe that with strong educational leaders at all levels, the students of Fresno Unified will be provided the opportunity to gain the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to be successful in high school, college, and career.
