About Me

Welcome to the new school year!  My name is Ms. Wasson, and I will be your math teacher this year. This is my 12th year teaching middle school math and my 9th year teaching at Fallon.  I am looking forward to an exciting year working and learning with you.

I was born and raised in Sacramento and then moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University (SDSU), where I majored in Liberal Studies (Education) and minored in Mathematics.  After graduating with honors, I attended SDSU for one more year to earn my Multiple Subject Credential with a Subject Matter Authorization in Mathematics.   In order to be closer to my family, I decided to move back to Northern California to look for work.  I started teaching in charter schools in Oakland and then decided that Dublin was the right fit for me.  While at Fallon, I found my passion in designing engaging lessons, building strong relationships, and supporting students.  Therefore, during my third year, I decided to pursue my Master's Degree in curriculum development to foster my love of creating math lessons that are fun and accessible to all students.

As your Math teacher, I am not only here to educate you but also to motivate you, advise you, challenge you, and support you.  My goal is to make math both relevant and fun for every student.  Let's have a great year!
