Get an eCard! *

Alameda County residents 13 or older can sign up for instant access to all of our online resources by applying for an eCard. Apply online to get started!

Please note: If you already have an Alameda County Library Card, then you already have all that an eCard has to offer and more! There is no need to apply twice.

What can I do with an eCard?

With an eCard, you can:

• Download free e-books, audiobooks, and magazines

• Access a variety of electronic resources including language courses, streaming movies, online tutoring, business information, genealogy databases and more

• Request books, music and movies for delivery to your local branch library

Plus, you can convert your eCard to a Library Card at any time by bringing ID with your name and current address to any of our libraries.

Converting your eCard to a Library Card adds a host of additional features to your account, such as the ability to borrow up to 100 physical items or get free museum passes through Discover & Go.
