One City One Book Project

The book we are reading this year for the One City One Book project is called Manjhi Moves A Mountain by Nancy Churin. It is a true story about a man named Dashrath Manjhi who, "used a hammer and chisel, grit, determination, and twenty years to carve a path through the mountain separating his poor village from the nearby village with schools, markets, and a hospital." It has won a number of awards and it will fit in beautifully with the equity work Dublin schools have committed to.  Catherine Brown
