Hello, my name is Erin Smith and I am part of the Math Support team at Daniel Wright Elementary. This will be my 20th year teaching! I have spent all of those years at DWE working in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. This year I will be working with 2nd and 3rd grade students. We will be working on growing our problem solving brains and strengthening our math connections!

I always tell my students that I wear many hats. One is a teacher hat but the others are a mom hat, a friend hat, a pet owner hat, and so on! We are all a lot of different things to a lot of different people! I love all the hats I get to wear and the people that surround me in each role that I serve. I have 3 kiddos(Gracie-16, Shiloh-14, and Cooper-11) that keep my mom hat spinning and flipping in all directions but I wouldn't have it any other way. They have been the best help to me as a teacher. I have learned quite a lot about how kids learn through watching those 3 grow up.

Our school year is off and running and is getting closer and closer to feeling more normal. We have had an interesting few years but I am amazed at the students of DWE and their ability to adapt and overcome. Wright is a special place to learn and grow!
