If you are a new Karrer family, we are excited to bring you into the fold. If this is your first middle school child, take a deep breathe all will be fine. If your Karrer veterans welcome back!
In addition to being some of your students’ sixth grade science teacher this year, I am Team 6-1’s Team Lead. That doesn’t really mean a lot, except that from time-to-time I’ll be sending out these blogs with team information. You can always contact me with questions or concerns regarding your student. If your question is subject specific, please contact your students’ classroom teachers directly, but I’m happy to address non-classroom specific concerns.
Your students have a great year ahead. Their teachers are excited to greet them tomorrow. We know some of your students are going to get a little lost, struggle with their lockers, and feel a bit out of sorts. That’s all normal for such a big change. I promise you by next week your students will be comfortable veterans who help me navigate my day!
While we anticipate this year being more “normal” than last year, I certainly can’t predict the future. These are interesting (understatement) times, but the focus within this building is helping your children learn, grow, and develop into fantastic humans. If you have concerns about district policy decisions, current events, etc. please contact Karrer, or district, administrators.
So, what’s coming up?
1. Your students will bring home a brief informational sheet and permission slip for you to complete.
2. An exciting first 3 days of school.
3. Do we really need anything beyond number 2?
I hope your entire family has a fantastic 21-22 school year.
