In Dublin City Schools, we believe that all students deserve a mathematical learning experience centered around communication, collaboration, thinking and problem solving.
Students will read a great deal of nonfiction and a variety of literature including fables and folktales from many cultures. In second grade there is a strong focus on skills and strategies that will lead to increased student comprehension of the material they have read. Students use these comprehension strategies in all content areas.
