In Dublin City Schools, we believe that all students deserve a mathematical learning experience centered around communication, collaboration, thinking and problem solving.
This year we will work on a variety of writing pieces. We will focus on the characteristics of different types of writing. The students will 3 big writing pieces: a narrative story, informational text and an opinion piece. They will also write a variety of smaller writing pieces throughout the year. They will have the opportunity to alternate between using paper and pencil and using a Chromebook.
Each day, we will spend 15 minutes studying and breaking apart words. We will begin the year looking at affixes.
Students will learn about Earth's surface, weathering, erosion, fossils, habitat features, electricity, heat, matter, and more. We will have hands-on, interactive science labs throughout the school year.
Students will learn about Ohio's history, location, features, agricultural influence. We will also cover the regions of the United States, geography, government economics, and more.
