Heidi Herman is a writer who believes that life is far more creative than it is logical. She will always maintain that people catalogue every experience, fact, and person under the guise of their own unique handwriting. Therefore, no two people are going to perceive the world around them, themselves, and even creative works in the same way. In her writing, she likes to be introspective and encourages the reader to think about their own lives in relation to the story.
Heidi has had 3 of her poems published, a number she hopes will be added onto in the future. When she was in 8th grade, she made it to the Power of the Pen state competition where she placed within the top 30. Her preferred forms of writing are realistic fiction short stories or free form poetry. She currently resides in Dublin, Ohio with her parents, younger brother, and two cats Frankie and Freddy.
Pritha Sharma always loved diving into the world of other. She has always taken a liking to submerging herself in different scenarios, but particularly, her favorite genre has been horror, fantasy, action, or fiction in its entirety. These are some of the other worlds she has immersed herself in, but reading has always existed alongside them. Beyond the reading world, she loves art, music, and watching Netflix or TV shows. She spends a lot of her time either outside exploring, reading something new, or crafting something in the comfortable walls of her room.
As per her life outside of her personal tastes, she resides among her loving mother and father, and her sister, who is currently in 4th grade. She lives in Ohio and attends Dublin Jerome, and took creative writing for her love of writing and reading, or consuming content in general. Though her journey of discovery is only just beginning, she already knows that writing is such a big part of her life, and may even open a new window of opportunity in the distant future.
Lindsay Niekamp is a 12th grade student whose childhood dream was to become an author. After abandoning that goal to try something more “realistic,” she tried and failed to pursue engineering, video editing, and cosmetology, and finally decided to give her old dream another try. Lindsay is passionate about creativity and storytelling, and believes that good stories are becoming all too rare as more and more people abandon their creativity in favor of logic, reality, and a good-looking college transcript.
Lindsay lives at home with two sisters, a brother, and a dog. She plans to major in creative writing and minor in media marketing at Columbus State University. She has a strong devotion to her Catholic faith, and often says that The Bible is her favorite book of all time. (Second place is The Princess Bride by William Goldman.) When she isn’t writing, you will likely find her on the Marching Band field with a sousaphone, reading silently in her room, or attending church.
Maggie Hensler is both a writer and a volleyball player, and she combines these two seemingly contrasting hobbies by being a utility player. Standing at a towering 5'6", she can be put in any position on the court. Before every game, she has no idea what she will play or if she will play at all. This is similar to her writing process, where she has no clue where her keyboard will take her.
Inspired by songs and lyrics floating around in her head, her stories are always changing. She includes new tropes, new characters, and backspaces and enters, constantly rewriting bad ideas. She is always riding a new wave of emotion, similar to wondering where she will be placed on the court or when she will start a new story and scratch the old one. With these hobbies and a desire for more, she is always ready to try something new or should she say write something new! Find her work on The Celtic Tablet!
Kelsey is a Senior at Dublin Jerome High School. She desires to use writing as a platform to bring awareness to the less fortunate. She places a high priority on giving back to others in her community and would like to grow local volunteerism. She has earned the Honor Level of the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 National Community Service Award and is a member of the National Honor Society. In her free time, she can be found Irish dancing, volunteering for Feed The Kids Columbus, leading the Celtic Advisory Program, tutoring elementary students, running Spanish club, baking, painting, or teaching dance classes.
Xavier Moseman is a writer who tries to enjoy the little things in life. He believes that life is fleeting, so savoring every moment and experience is paramount to true fulfillment; not necessarily happiness, but fulfillment. Xavier isn't incredibly fond of reading or writing, but he can appreciate both. Xavier is a fan of poetry, specifically haikus. Try as he might, he never fails to fall asleep while reading nonfiction.
Xavier Moseman is a potter, a son, and friend, a waiter, and a soon to be high school graduate. Xavier currently lives in Dublin, Ohio with his parents, occasionally his brother Max, and his 2 cats Callie and Alice.
