Class Information

Your student will have TWO teachers this year! Students will meet with Mrs. Rowe to learn about reading, writing, and word study, while Mrs. May will focus on math, science, and social studies. We will often meet as a full group for group experiences, read alouds, and other activities! This provides greater opportunity for student choice, partnerships, and cross-curricular learning.

We strive to intentionally build classroom community between both groups of learners with the support of other DCS educators and community partners. Last year’s students dubbed this model, “two classes, one family.” Our theme for the year is "growth" and that's just what we'll do!

Please know that you, dear family members and guardians, are very much a part of our community as well! We are excited to get to know your students and help them grow this school year. Family partnership is key - you are appreciated!

Google Classroom

In order to access Google Classroom, you or your student first needs to go to google.com and log in with the student's Google Account (see above).

Once they are logged into Google, you can go to classroom.google.com to access Google Classroom.

Clever

Click on the picture to the left to access the Clever login page. This has links to educational resources that your student may enjoy exploring! Please note that while homework is rarely assigned, students may use this launch page to extend their school day learning. All resources are for optional use.

ProgressBook

Students in 4th grade will receive letter grades for the first time.
