Students can decide to accept or deny their college course grade through Tarleton at the end of the course.
If students choose to accept their college course grade through Tarleton, their high school transcript will show the course was taken as a dual credit course. Their college grade does not go on their high school transcript and will only be on their Tarleton transcript.
If students choose to not accept their college course grade through Tarleton, their high school transcript will show the course was taken as a honors course.
This program does not require the TSI to take the course, however, we will be looking at your child's English II EOC scores, and PSAT10 scores to determine student eligibility to take these courses. These courses are college level courses and are writing intensive.
Algebra I and English II score - 4000 or higher on their EOC. Meaning meets or higher.
If your student did not make a 4000 or higher on their EOCs, we look at their PSAT10 score. If your student makes a 1000 or higher on their PSAT10 score, they will be eligible to take the Dual Enrollment courses.
