Junior Nutcracker FAQ

Please plan on 15 minutes to park and walk in.

Please follow the signs to line up to enter the theater. A teacher will come through the line to pick up each dancer directly from their parent. There’s no need to look for your teacher — they will come to you!

Parents will pick up their child inside the theater once Dress Rehearsal and the Show are complete. Parents will be instructed on this process during Dress Rehearsal.

Students will practice the entire show on stage. They will practice staging and their dance. Parents will watch rehearsal in the auditorium. Parents are encouraged to record the dress rehearsal, so they enjoy the show day. 

Please note: once your child is picked up to go backstage, it will take some time before they get onto the stage, as we are getting groups together and ready.

Costume, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair, hairpiece, and stage makeup should be completed. No outside shoes, clothing, or bags should go backstage.

Nothing! Costume, tights, and dance shoes will be worn at all times.

Any jewelry, nail polish, and glitter should not be worn on stage.

Parents are not permitted backstage. We have extra staff on hand to help with dancers.

Yes, everyone who wants a seat needs a ticket. 

• Wheelchair seating is available. 

• Infants do not need a ticket if they sit on a lap.

• Click here to purchase your tickets, starting SUN, Nov 30th @ 4:00pm.

• If you are interested in also seeing “The Nutcracker”: tickets purchased for The Nutcracker will get you entrance to one Junior Nut performance. Junior Nutcracker students will get a free general admission ticket to see “The Nutcracker”. Those wishing to sit in reserved seating would need to purchase a reserved ticket.

Please plan for the show to run 30-40 minutes.

You will order the recording by "enrolling" your child. The office will email you when flash drives are available for pickup in the office.

Students have the opportunity to take a professional photo in their costume in front of Nutcracker scenery on our designated Photo Days! Photo information will be available soon!
