At the Special Meeting held on Thursday, July 16, 2020, the Board of Education unanimously decided to start the 2020-2021 school year on August 13, 2020, utilizing 100% distance learning. This difficult decision was informed by many points of data including the recommendation of our Re-Visioning Steering Committee and Taskforce and public health information that shows an alarming rise in the COVID-19 curve. Yes, you will receive grades for your assignments and on your report card. Students in Grades TK - 5 will receive a standards-based Report Card. Students in grades 6 - 12 will receive letter grades that will be calculated into the GPA.

Yes, your teachers will take daily attendance?
All schools will inform parents and students of their teachers prior to the First Day of School. Please look for these communications through your district email and parent emails.

As denoted, the schedule for live interaction during each designated period for instruction and the methodology will be provided to students and parents by the teacher. Also important to note, break and lunch are aligned district-wide so that all students in Grades TK-12 at every school have them scheduled at the same time.
Yes, P.E. instruction will be provided during Distance Learning. Our teachers are developing creative methods to deliver the physical education standards in a virtual environment.
