Traffic Safety Resources

Did you know?

DTK parents started a Traffic Safety sub-committee in 2021 to address transportation safety issues around David Thomas King School.  Since then, we have:

• developed an action plan, in conjunction with students, to encourage active travel and safe transportation

• advocated for a new cross-walk and curb extensions at all cross-walks by the school

• created outdoor signs and social media posts to raise safety awareness

• updated our school traffic map after changing drop-off locations and updating signage in the area

We work closely with the City of Edmonton and Edmonton Public Schools to advocate for safe travel for all students, to and from school.
