Champion - 2024 Regional Search for Exemplary Child
Chloe’s success story is one of passion, perseverance, and deep faith, nurtured by her family and community. Born on January 30, 2014 to Mr. Ronaldo and Mrs. Melanie Cañega, Chloe was raised in a loving and faith-centered, and a humble home in Brgy. Ibabao-Bana, Cabanatuan City.
Like many of our Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries, Chloe and her family experiences the drawbacks of poverty. Her father, Ronaldo, had lost his sight a few years back. This, despite the family coming together and trying very hard to earn for his treatment. They also live in a humble home primarily made of light materials which are susceptible to calamities and disasters. Just these past weeks when Typhoons Carina and Enteng caused onslaught to our country, Chloe’s house was not spared from the flooding and winds.
Despite everything, Chloe and her family maintains a very positive disposition in life. Her mother, Melanie, continues to be a beacon of faith, often leading the family to prayer and maintains her unwavering attendance to church. She is also an active Parent Leader and is part of the FDS Team of Cabanatuan City. On the other hand, Ronaldo, despite his blindness, has continued to strive by finishing a TESDA NC2 course on Massage Therapy and is now earning through a blind massage establishment in NE Pacific Mall, which is just nearby their residence. For Chloe, it’s all dreams, ambitions and keeping her perseverance to help her family.
