In a bid to enhance employee productivity and streamline collaboration within its workforce, the Learning and Development Section recently organized an extensive training program for its internal employees on the effective use of Google Workspace. The training, which spanned three (3) days, aimed to empower employees with the skills and knowledge needed to optimize their workflow using the Google productivity tools.
Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite, is a collection of cloud-based applications that facilitate communication, collaboration, and productivity. The suite includes tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and more. Google Workspace has gained widespread adoption in various sectors, ranging from education to business, due to its versatility and efficiency in enabling seamless teamwork and efficient document management.
The training program, led by a team from the ICTMS of the Field Office, covered a wide range of topics tailored to meet the needs of different divisions, sections, and roles within the agency. This included in-depth tutorials on using Gmail for effective communication, Google Drive for secure file storage and sharing, and collaborative document editing using Google Docs and sheets.
