The Capability Building Section (CBS) is responsible in enhancing the competencies of intermediaries and stakeholders of DSWD Field Office 5 in performing and achieving its goals as lead in the social welfare and social protection sector.
1. Conduct needs assessment for the development and implementation of capability building interventions for DSWD staff and partners;
2. Prepare, review and endorse application and completion report for the Continuing Professional Development of internal staff and partners;
3. Implementation of learning and development interventions to enhance the competencies of DSWD staff, intermediaries and stakeholders;
4. Maintain theΒ Core Group of Specialists (CGS);
5. Maintain the Social Welfare and Development Learning Network (SWD L-Net);
6. Manage and maintain the Regional Learning Resource Center (RLRC);
7.Β Implement the Bayanihang Bayan Program (BBP);
8. Provide technical assistance on institutional development, capability building and knowledge management to DSWD staff and partners;
9. Implement strategies and policies along Knowledge Management;
10. Implement systems, mechanisms and procedures for the packaging of knowledge products.
In essence, the Sectionβs strategic initiatives are anchored on Organizational Outcome (OO) 5 pertaining to the Delivery of Social Welfare and Development Programs by Local Government Units through Local Social Welfare and Development Offices Improved.
