Dr. Suresh Pittala Associate Professor, Department of Physics, School of Engineering Dayananda Sagar University
I am working as an Associate Professor in the department of Physics, School of Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University since April 2023. Prior to that I was working as Assistant Professor at the same department from March 2022 to March 2023.
I have done my Master's in Physics from the University of Hyderabad, India and I finished my doctorate in experimental condensed matter physics from the same university. Soon after the PhD, I joined the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India, for postdoctoral studies. I have worked on bismuth ferrite nanomaterials, magnetoelectric composite thin films, bulk materials, and hexagonal lutetium ferrite.
As a researcher, Resolved the ambiguity in the literature about the magnetic ordering and nature of hexagonal LuFeO3 and Proved that hexagonal LuFeO3 is not a room temperature multiferroics while it is below 150 K. Recognised by International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD), USA for the contribution of hexagonal LuFeO3 structure file to the Powder Diffraction File in Release 2020.
I have Received Gold Medal & School Topper in Class X in the year 2000. Received Dr. K.V. Rao Young Scientist Award for the PhD thesis work in 2014, followed by Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2017 and National Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2019.
