Ms. Saroj Vijayalakshmi, PhD Scholar from the Department of Physics, has been honoured with the Best Oral Presentation Award at the International Conference on Next Generation Emerging Materials (ICONGEM-2025), held at Anurag University, Hyderabad, on 22–23 December 2025.
Under the guidance of Dr. Suresh Pittala, Associate Professor, she presented her research on Ho-doped Hexagonal LuFeO₃, showcasing its potential applications in spintronics, along with in-depth insights into structural optimization and structural evolution of the material.
Congratulations to Ms. Saroj Vijayalakshmi on this well-deserved recognition. We wish her continued success in her research journey and future endeavours.
Ms. M. Vandana, First Year PhD Research Scholar in the Quantum Materials Lab, Department of Physics, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, under the guidance of Dr. Suresh Pittala, has been awarded the Best Poster Award for her paper titled “Optimized Redox-Controlled Synthesis of Phase-Pure CeFeO₃” at the 13th National Conference on Condensed Matter Physics and Applications (CMPA–2025).
Held on 8–9 December 2025, the ANRF-sponsored conference was organized by the Department of Physics, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal. Her research addresses the long-standing challenge of stabilizing Ce³⁺ in CeMO₃ systems, where mixed valence often leads to impurity phases, opening new pathways in redox engineering of complex oxide materials for advanced functional applications.
