Dear Families, 

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Donna Shepard Leadership Academy! The DSLA PTA is excited to partner with parents, teachers, and staff to help make this a successful year for our students and the entire DSLA community. 

We strive to promote the well-being of all students and to support a collaborative, inclusive, equitable, and nurturing school environment. We work together with teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure every student thrives. The PTA runs on the hard work of a few dedicated volunteers, and we welcome your involvement in any way you can contribute! 

JOIN THE PTA: Become a member of the DSLA PTA by filling out the membership form found HERE and paying the national, state, and local dues of $11. As a member, you’ll be able to vote at PTA meetings and have a voice in how we support the school. Please consider encouraging friends and family to join as well! We have meetings that are posted on the calendar found HERE. These meetings are a great opportunity to meet other parents, get to know staff and administrators, and learn more about what’s happening at DSLA.

DONATE TO THE PTA; time, talent, or funds: Our PTA only exists and thrives with the donation of the time, talent, and money of the families we serve. There are opportunities throughout the year to volunteer your time and talents that can be found HERE. There are always opportunities for you to donate to the PTA for specific programs or events. If this is something you are able to offer, please fill out the form found HERE. We also have Teacher Appreciation events that require resources and items to be donated to make them a success. Please take a look at the opportunities to help us support and serve our teachers HERE.
