Every year, we ask for new school supplies which are used throughout the year for learning and projects. Each child will have his or her own individual set of supplies. We welcome supply donations in order to help students and families that may need assistance. Donations can be sent in with your child to school or dropped off at the Wycallis Main Office.
Thank you for your support!

1 pair of child’s scissors
Glue stick
1 set of child headphones with standard jack
Small whiteboard and dry erase marker (a black sock will work as an eraser)
Math manipulatives: pair of dice, deck of cards
Each teacher has a “Wish List” that includes items needed in the classroom. Please see "Wish List" tab to the left for our requests.
How can you help at home?
*Please be sure your child can button, tie, fasten, and zip all of their articles of clothing. If your child is unable to tie shoes, velcro or slip-on shoes are recommended. If your child has an article of clothing he/she can not handle independently, it is best left for weekend or after school wear. Please stress and practice proper handwashing and covering coughs/sneezes.
LUNCH:
Children have the option to bring or buy lunch. Your child needs a lunchbox if he/she is bringing lunch. Please be sure to label your child’s lunchbox with his/her name. Information on buying lunch can be found on the Dallas School District website:
<<Cafeteria
Prior to the first day of school, please have your child practice eating “school lunch.” Make sure your child can open everything you send with them. It’s important for children to know not to eat off of the table in the cafeteria. Lunch is 30 minutes - set a timer and talk about how they may not finish eating everything. Practice packing everything back up and talk about what is trash and what should come back home in their lunchbox. Kindergarten lunch is a big adjustment and we are extremely appreciative if you have prepared your child for the experience!
*Please be sure your child has a spoon, straw, or napkin if needed for snack or lunch.
SNACK:
We will have a daily snack time in Kindergarten. Please pack one healthy snack everyday for your child to eat during this time. This will help keep your child’s brain and bodies working at their best! Our snack time should take no more than 15 minutes and will be eaten in the classroom, so please keep that in mind when planning your snacks. Also, foods requiring minimal clean up are best! Do NOT send anything with peanuts or peanut butter due to allergies. Students will use their water bottles at this time - please make sure it’s filled with only water.
Please keep snack separate from your child’s lunch.
Some snack ideas that students seem to enjoy include: crackers, pretzels, dried cereal, string cheese, raisins, fruit, baby carrot sticks. It is appreciated if you would avoid sending in candy, cakes, pudding, fruit cups in juice, Lunchables, soda, greasy chips, and finger-coloring foods.
Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.
