1. Be Respectful
2. Be Responsible
3. Be Safe
Beginning on the first day of school, we discussed what it looks like to be respectful, be responsible, and be safe while at school. Students are expected to always follow these rules while in our classroom.
Positive reinforcement of good behavior is practiced in our classroom.
PLANNERS
Students are responsible for dating and writing their assignments in their planner each day while at school.
Students should use their planner each night to complete the assigned homework.
Please check that your child has completed their homework and then sign your child's planner each night. It is a very important communication tool between home and school. Thanks in advance for your help!
MATH
Students will spend ~5 minutes each day practicing their facts using the Rocket Math Program. The goal is to pass ONE level each week. Students may log in from home for additional practice time. Leveled sheets will need to be completed each night and returned to school the following day.Â

Math homework sheets will be assigned nightly and should be returned to school the following day. Students will also be expected to complete 4-5 digital lessons each week. They are assigned on Monday and due the following Monday and can be worked on at home if not completed during math class.
Study guides will be assigned for each ZEARN mission. Solving problems similar to those on the study guide is the best way to study for math tests.
SCIENCE
The shift to the Next Generation Science Standards (2025-26) requires a major shift in classroom instructional practices.

We will be piloting the Amplify Science program this year.
