Morning Student Drop-Off:

Students riding the bus should refer to the bus schedule on the Dallas School District main page for bus numbers, routes and times for pick up/drop off. Bus students will arrive at school and remain on the bus until 8:55am. Students will enter school at 8:55am and report directly to their classroom.

Students who ride to and from school in cars will adhere to the following procedures. In the morning, students must remain in their cars until 8:55 AM. Parents/caregivers should park along the sidewalk nearest the staff parking lot. At 8:55 AM, students can enter the building at the Wall entrance (doors closer to Administration building-no main Wycallis doors) and report immediately to their classroom. Morning drop off can be very very dangerous for students. When children exit vehicles on the left they step out into traffic. Teach them to exit on the right. Many drivers are anxious to get to work and pass vehicles which are discharging children. Some parents/caregivers are also distracted by talking or texting on cell phones. We ask that parents/caregivers speed up the process by using the whole drop off half circle for discharging children. We beg drivers to exercise greater caution. The safety of our precious children is in the hands of drivers.

Student Dismissal:

At dismissal (3:35), students who are going home in cars will report to the Wall entrance when called. Parents will park along the sidewalk near staff parking lot and students will enter cars as parents arrive.

Bus students will be dismissed shortly after Parent Pick up students (around 3:45pm). Kindergarten students are walked down the bus pad and to their buses by the Kindergarten teachers to ensure he/she gets home on the correct bus. Kindergarten students are never left to walk out to their buses on their own.

***Please be sure to ALWAYS send a note into school if your child will be using an alternate route for getting home (i.e. change of bus #, parent pick-up for that day, different person picking up your child, etc...).

***Attention after school Day Care students: We are not informed when these after school centers are closed, so please provide a note in your child's folder if they are NOT going to their regularly scheduled after school program and let us know which bus they are to take home that day.

***If you find out a change needs to be made to your child's dismissal after your child has already arrived at school, please feel free to contact the office prior to dismissal at 674-7283 to ensure we can make proper arrangements.

***If you are picking your child up early, please send a note stating you will be doing so.
