Google Classroom is a private classroom for teachers and students of a class. It offers a digital safe space for students to view class announcements, watch pre-recorded videos, access posted course content, view posted assignments, and turn in completed work. A "Google Meet" link is also provided for live streaming and meetings/small groups with Mrs. O'Brien.
Only authorized Dallas School District users (students, teachers, and other designated staff members) can have access to a DSD Google Classroom. Google users outside the DSD network are not granted permission to any DSD Classrooms.
How does my child join his/her Google Classroom with Mrs. O'Brien?
Option 1 (Recommended): Mrs. O'Brien will send an email to your child's DSD email account and invite your child to join our Google Classroom.
Option 2: From the school issued Chromebook, ask the student to login and launch the Google Classroom App.
Option 3: From any computer with internet access, click the Google Classroom image below and have the student login with their DSD Google username and password.
**Please note that any activity in Google Classroom is documented under the student’s login.
*Guardian Email Summaries: Parents/Caregivers can choose to receive an email summary of their child's work. Information is sent about missing and upcoming work and class activities.
