**Your child should bring a water bottle daily. Please be sure they can open and refill it independently.
How can you help prepare your child for second grade?
*The items your child brings for lunch will need to be opened, independently, by your child. Practicing with children at home will help them be independent at school. If they have difficulty with opening something, perhaps it would make a great after school snack.
*Please be sure your child can zip, button, tie and fasten all of their articles of clothing, including shoes.
*Please stress and practice proper handwashing with your child.
*A child entering second grade should know their address, a phone number for a family member, their birthdate and how to tie shoes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a second grade teacher! : )
Thank you for your help in preparing for a great school year!!
