Homework

SPELLING, READING, MATH, and GRAMMAR TESTS:

Tests will be sent home as they are graded.  Spelling tests will be weekly. Reading and Math tests are at the end of each unit. Only if there is a "Please Sign and Return" stamp on the test do you need to return it.  

 IN-CLASS WORK:

In-class work will be sent home in the daily homework folder as soon as it is corrected.  These papers can be reviewed by the students and their parents/care givers and corrected for reinforcement.  However, there is no need to return these papers unless you have a question or if there is a written request on the paper to do so (example: “Please finish and return”; “Please correct and return”).

DAILY HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS:

Homework reinforces skills taught in school and teaches students responsibility.  All homework assignments are posted on the board.  They are then recorded by your child on their weekly homework assignment sheet ("Log").  This assignment sheet should be kept in their homework folder and signed by a parent/care giver nightly.  Please be aware that more than 5 missed assignments will be noted on your child’s report card.
