Cell Phone Use Policy
Cell phone use is prohibited during class instruction without specific direction to do so. It is of utmost importance for students to give their undivided attention to class instruction, especially concerning food lab safety and preschool hours. Cell phones must be kept completely out of site or points will be deducted from final participation grade.
Classroom rules:
Students will place personal phone in the wall pocket upon entering the classroom. If you choose to keep your phone, you must not take it out. Points will be taken off final class participation grade for failing to do so.
Students are expected to respect each and every person in my classroom at all times and speak in a positive manner. Negativity is not welcome.
Tardiness for Food Lab/Nursery School will also be deducted from class participation grade.
Preschool Honor Agreement:
I believe one of the fundamental objectives of the DHS Preschool Program is to provide the preschool students with a quality education in a safe and welcoming environment while developing in them a sense of social responsibility.
I understand and accept my responsibility as a positive role model to the children in our program and will help guide all preschoolers in making ‘good choices’.
I will abstain from any foul language, rude remarks, or inappropriate conversation while preschoolers are in my presence.
I will not possess or utilize any electronic devices (aside from necessary meeting access device), including but not limited to: cell phones, tablets, etc. while in the company of preschoolers.
Aside from small talk, I will not have any conversations with a parent concerning any preschooler. All correspondence will be done through the teacher.
I commit to uphold the ideals of honor and integrity bestowed upon me as a member of the DHS Child Care Preschool Program.
