Hello everyone! Welcome to my class. My name is Mrs. Shaffern. I live in Dallas Township with my husband, two daughters, and dog. I have been teaching at Dallas High School since the 2014-2015 school year. Prior to Dallas I taught at Holy Redeemer High School for two years.

I graduated high school in 2007 from Wyoming Valley West and attended college at West Chester University for secondary education in science. I graduated from West Chester in 2012. I received my masters degree from King's college in curriculum and instruction in May 2017.

I enjoy PIGS, singing, spending time with my family, binge watching Netflix shows, and I can't forget TEACHING! I decided to become a teacher to help students appreciate topics in biology and learn in a way that is fun and effective.
