Hello! My name is Mrs. Keating and I am so excited to go on this Kindergarten adventure with you, here at Wycallis Primary School. The Dallas School District has been my home for over ten years. I started my career at Dallas as an Intermediate Learning Support teacher for grades three, four, and five at the Dallas Elementary School. At the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, I decided to transfer to third grade, at Wycallis Elementary School. I taught six years in third grade and finished the 2019-2020 school year. Upon completion of that school,I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy right in the middle of the pandemic! Easton was born with a genetic disorder, epilepsy, and some other medical complications (born at 31 weeks, etc.) so for 3 years I spent my time with him and caring for all of his special needs. Last year, we decided as a family that Easton was strong enough to take on preschool and I was ready to head back into the world of teaching. Not only did I decide to come back to teaching, but just to add a little more excitement, I decided to take on Kindergarten! I fell in love with Kindergarten and I could not be more excited to spend the year with you and your child!!
I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Regular Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). I graduated in May of 2019 with my master's degree as a Reading Specialist from Wilkes University.
I moved to Wyoming, Pennsylvania upon graduating from Bloomsburg and immediately began teaching at Dallas. I moved to the Back Mountain officially in 2013. I was married October 18, 2014 to my wonderful husband, Chris. I gained an amazing stepdaughter named Madilyn, who is now sixteen. I have two dogs. Binx is a 12 year old mix whom I rescued as a puppy. Then two years ago we got another puppy, named Ripley. She is a blue Weimaraner and is full of energy! January 4, 2017 I gave birth to the cutest little boy, named Nolan. He will be eight in January. Easton (who you heard about above) just turned 4. I love spending as much time with my family as I can!
My mom and dad live in the Fort Worth, Texas area. This is where most of my summers and holidays are spent! I love to take my family and go see them. my brother recently moved to the Harrisburg where he lives with my sister in law and my niece, Charlotte.
Other than school and my family, I love taking vacations, being outside, going for bike rides, and being with my friends. I have been a Dallas Cowboys fan since the day I was born. I am also a huge baseball fan. I grew up in St. Louis so the Cardinals blood runs deep in my veins as far as baseball goes. I love to attend any sporting even I can.

I CANNOT wait to spend the year with you. If there were three words to describe myself, they would definitely be the "3 Ss": silly, smiley, and structured. I can be a loud goofball, and at the same time I make myself available to assist my kiddos in anything that they may need. Please DO NOT HESITATE to contact me whenever. I look forward to working together and having the BEST year together!!
