Sonia A. Gr 6
Introduction: Hi, my name is Sonia, and I'm in grade 6 at Glynn A. Green Public School. I made a drawing of what I think New York will look like in the year 3000. I used my imagination to picture how the city might look and what colours would be in the future, and I brought those ideas to life on paper!
Sunset: For the sunset in the background, I mixed different colours to make it more interesting than just one plain colour. I used bright oranges, soft pinks, and yellows, blending them to create a beautiful sky that glows as the day turns into night.
Water and Grass: For the water and the grass, I picked two colours for each. I thought about where the sunset's light would hit, trying to show the shiny spots on the water and the different shades in the grass as the sun went down.
Roads: I built three roads because I believe that in the future, there will be many roads leading the same way, all lined up next to each other. I can see a busy scene where people can choose from different paths, all going in the same direction, making it easy for everyone to find their way.
Sky: To create the sky, I mixed various shades of blue to make one beautiful colour that reminded me of the wide-open sky on a clear day with a couple of clouds.
Object in the sky: In considering the objects in the sky, I imagined how airplanes and helicopters might appear in the future and sketched them on paper. I used colour to make them stand out while also blending in with the design.
Buildings: I created a colourful city skyline with various buildings. I used blended colours and gradients for some, while others are in solid shades like red and green. I added and made some of
the buildings are metallic silver to give a modern and futuristic feel, making the overall scene dynamic and exciting!
Conclusion: hope you take a moment to admire the beauty of my building! Thank you for your time!
Ira C
Gr 6
Hi my name is Ira Chatterjee and i’m a grade 6 student in Glynn A. Green public school. In my drawing, I made a new planet called Solara. What inspired me to make this planet is the earth. The earth is a little like this new planet but a bit different. Instead of having blue waters, there are green waters to make it a more alien-like planet. The planet is normally warm and stays like that all through the year but the temperature changes each year which means it alternates between cold and warm. As you can see in my drawing, there is a shooting star which represents a new planet forming with a new type of life with new types of species. The different kinds of life that are forming are all alien-like.
Types of Species
First, the alien-cat. The alien cat is not like your regular cat that you see in your everyday life, this cat can teleport to other planets and with its strong coat, it can survive in any extreme weather.Next, the Alien-dog. This dog has the same characteristics as the cat but has a little more. Not only can it teleport, but it also has invisibility skills so it can turn invisible. Last but not least the aliens on this planet, these aliens are very significant and smart, they can solve any mathematical problems like.
Why I think my Planet is Futuristic
Imagine a world far beyond Earth — a futuristic planet where spaceships soar through strange skies and intelligent alien life shares the land. The landscapes are unfamiliar, shaped by advanced technology and new ways of living. From towering structures to glowing terrain, everything feels like a glimpse into the future.
