The Eden Chamber Choir would be the longest standing group in Eden’s history! We don’t have our original members, of course, but we do accept new members each semester. We ask for a semester commitment from members. It is an open membership - no audition required! We want singers from Grade 9 through 12 and we need all voice types: high female voices (Soprano), low female voices (alto), high male voices (Tenor) and low male voices (Bass). We want all of those and everyone in between!
The group explores modern day songs, often mashing songs together to make interesting pieces. We meet on a weekly basis and have fun together while we sing in multiple parts of harmony.
Are you a singer? Do you love to sing? Do you want to sing but not sure if you like it yet? It’s all good - there is no experience required!
We perform at various concert events such as Eden’s Winter concert and Spring Concerts as well as other events throughout the school year.
Eclectic Tendencies is an auditioned group of senior students at Eden High School. We are “eclectic” because we like to try a variety of things and different arrangements. We don’t get scared easily by challenging music and we try to perform music that means something to us and hopefully, to you - our audience!
Auditions are held each September and members who are brought into the group have a maximum of 2 years tenure, if they so choose. Students entering in Grade 11 can remain in the group until graduation. Students entering in Grade 12 will enjoy the benefits of this group for their final year of high school.
Resound Percussion is one of Eden’s Performance Ensembles. It consists of 10-12 members who are able to read music and like to perform. Resound Percussion is especially for students who have a background in percussion and piano. Contact Mr. Stickney today! (derrick.stickney@dsbn.org)
We run a String Ensemble for students who own or have access to their own string instruments (violin, viola, cello or bass).
