We recognize that children learn through play and that exposure to language in the home will help them learn in both French and English. By providing materials to families to learn and play together, we hope to also support English speaking families gain confidence in supporting their child(ren) with learning French which in turn encourages our students to communicate and interact with growing confidence in French. This resource is designed to be universally available to all students in our school community.
This resource was created so that:
Families can experience valuable time playing and learning in French together
Families can continue to foster French language use outside of the school environment
Students can communicate and interact with growing confidence in French
English speaking families can gain confidence in their ability to support their child(ren) in learning French
Students and their families can Increase their comfort with the use of French in the home
Guidelines for Borrowing
Families can request two items per week for each child that attends Central
The loan period is 1 week with the exception of Harry Potter books which can be requested for two weeks at a time.
Materials are distributed on Tuesdays to students and must be returned by the following Monday.
Please inspect items upon arrival and notify the school if there are any issues with the condition or missing pieces of a game.
Please inspect items before return to ensure all components are included.
This resource is first come, first serve. If your item is not available we will add your name to a waitlist to provide you with the item during an alternate week. When this occurs we will send you an email to notify you.
