1st Grade

2019-2020

PLEASE LABEL all gym uniforms, school uniforms, sweaters, shirts, coats, lunchboxes, bookbags, and all items that have room for a label. WHEELS on bookbags are NOT permitted.

6 jumbo glue sticks, not bottles

2 boxes of crayons – 24 count (no larger) (no twistables)

1 plastic pencil box – no larger than 8" x 5"

1 pair of scissors – small to fit inside pencil box

1 large hard cover index card box

1 package of 3x5 index cards (300 cards total)

12 sharpened #2 pencils

2 pink medium erasers

1 box of thin markers

1 roll of paper towels

1 package of baby wipes (refills okay)

1 box of tissues (200 count)

1 yellow highlighter

2 thin black expo markers

1 pump hand sanitizer

SPANISH Supplies: Separate from the general school supplies (they will be kept in the Spanish room)

• small zipper pencil case
  • 1 box of crayons- 24 count (no larger) (no twistables)
  • 4 sharpened #2 pencils
• 1- 2 Pocket Folder

The following supplies must be purchased in the school bookstore:

5 School Smart GRADE 2 Composition books (50 leaves)

The children have access to a pencil sharpener. Therefore, please do not send one to school because the shavings often wind up on the floor. Also, the children do not need pens or markers.

The first grade students have a snack period every day (including half days). Your child should, therefore, bring a snack, a drink, and two napkins. In this way, one napkin can be opened up on the desk and the food placed on it. The only types of beverages that are permitted for snack and lunch are juice boxes or water bottles.
