When & How

Psychotherapy typically takes place at least once a week. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and take place at the same time every week. However it may be necessary or helpful to meet at a greater frequency, two or even three times each week.

My standard fee is currently £74=00 per session. However, in appropriate circumstances, this is negotiable.

I present my invoices at the end of each month, providing bank details for BACS transfer.

I will give notice of planned absences, usually between one to two months in advance.

Should someone be unable to attend at their regular time for some unavoidable reason, I will try to reschedule the session if given enough notice. However, due to limited flexibility, this may not be possible and the fee for the missed session will still apply.

In the eventuality of my illness, death or being unable to work for a similarly unavoidable reason, I have a group of Professional Trustees who will contact all individuals in my practice to inform them of this and to help consider possible ways to proceed.

COMPLAINTS

Should there be a dispute or if someone is dissatisfied with my service in a way that cannot be resolved through discussion, they can contact the British Psychoanalytic Council to consider making a formal complaint - see link below.
