Hello DR Community! The town of Dighton has been my home since 2014. I joined the Dighton Middle School faculty in 2018 as a School Guidance Counselor and 504 Plan Coordinator (grades 5-8). Serving as a counselor and being able to support students at all grade levels is a role I continue to relish. I have previously taught English Language Arts at the middle school level to both 6th and 7th graders. Needless to say, life in a middle school continues to be at the heart of my career. These years are a crucial, but special time in a young adolescent's life. They are an opportune time for students to learn about what interests them and who they want to become when they get older.
In my spare time, I enjoy trying new restaurant venues with friends, traveling to tropical settings, and spending time with my family. I am a dedicated fur parent to my pup Aiden, a Jack Russell Terrier Mix . I also have two beautiful nieces - Avery and Emelia (both 8 y. o.) - and a handsome nephew named Thomas (7 y.o.). who help to keep life fun and entertaining.
I can be reached via email at aandrade@drregional.org or via phone at (508) 669-4200 ext. 2305.
I began my role as a School Psychologist at DMS in the fall of 2022. As a school psychologist, I help students to succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the students, staff, and families at DMS and am excited to continue building relationships with them!
I was born and raised in Rhode Island and come from a big Italian family. I currently live in Scituate R.I with my husband and 2 pups, Pickles and Colby! If I am not cuddled up on the couch with my dogs, I am spending time with my siblings.
Please feel free to reach out to me at squinn@drregional.org or at 508-669-4200 ext 2303
Hello! My name is Mrs. Jennifer deMatos and I am the School Adjustment Counselor here at DMS since 2023. As a teacher previous to this, I saw that students were coming to school with a lot of concerns and spent a lot of time building rapport with students and helping them in a variety of ways. I pride myself in taking care of the whole person and not just the student.
My first language was Portuguese as my parents immigrated over from the Azores a few years before I was born. I am a wife and mom to twin toddler boys and my Maltese Bichon, who is 16 years old. We all speak Portuguese, and the dog understands Portuguese too. I received my Bachelor's of Arts from UMass Dartmouth and my Master's in Social Work from Bridgewater State University. I currently reside in New Bedford and enjoy travelling, trying new foods, and crafting.
If you need to reach me, please email jdematos@drregional.org or via phone at 508-669-4200 ext. 2304.
