SCoP COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

As part of our commitment to creating a welcoming, productive, and inspiring environment, we've established a few guidelines that embody our core values: Simplify, Build Trust, and Make it Happen. We encourage all members to embrace these principles in every interaction within our community.

In order to be a participating member in SCoP you need to have the word "Superintendent" in you current job title. Don't be offended... This is in an effort to maintain the spirit of true field conversations amongst our members. This is a place for all Superintendents to feel comfortable discussing the good, bad, and the ugly of the job.

Simplify

Our community thrives on simplicity. We believe that clear, straightforward communication fosters understanding and collaboration. To uphold this value:

• Keep It Clear: Use plain language that can be easily understood by all community members, regardless of their background or expertise.

• Stay on Topic: Focus discussions on relevant subjects to make information finding and sharing efficient and effective.

• Streamline Sharing: Share resources, insights, and feedback in a concise manner, valuing others' time and bandwidth.

Build Trust

Trust is the foundation of our community. It's built on transparency, respect, and integrity. To foster trust:

• Be Respectful and Inclusive: Show respect for different opinions, backgrounds, and perspectives. Harassment, discrimination, and bullying are strictly prohibited.

• Ensure Privacy: Respect everyone's privacy. Do not share personal information without consent.

• Promote Transparency: Be honest and open in your communications. Misleading or false information undermines our community's integrity.

Make It Happen

Action drives progress. Our community is a place for action, where ideas are not only discussed but also implemented. To embody this value:

• Be Proactive: If you see a problem, contribute to the solution. Offer help, suggest improvements, and take initiative.

• Collaborate and Contribute: Participate actively. Your contributions, whether they're ideas, solutions, or support, propel our community forward.

• Celebrate Success: Acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of fellow members. Recognition motivates and inspires continued effort and innovation.

SCoP leadership retains the right to remove any member that is exhibiting behavior that violates the guidelines outlined above. SCoP will never censor or remove content contributed by members as long as it's essence is constructive and respectful. Feel free to speak freely in this community, just do it with respect.
