• Mastering Carpentry Power Tools
We are thrilled to introduce Drewswork's latest offering for woodworking enthusiasts: The Intermediate Woodworking Course!
This comprehensive program is designed to take your carpentry skills to the next level, focusing specifically on the usage of carpentry power tools to build small, intricate items. If you are passionate about woodworking and eager to expand your capabilities, this course is the perfect opportunity for you.
More than 80 people joined the Drewswork "Basics Woodworking Course" in the last 3 years. In the Basics Course we mainly used hand tools to understand and work safely with solid wood to craft traditional joint connections.
ONLY PEOPLE WHO COMPLETED THE BASICS COURSE ARE QUALIFIED TO JOIN THE INTERMEDIATE COURSE!
In the Intermediate Course, you will have the chance to work with a large range of powerful and versatile tools that are essential for any intermediate woodworker's toolkit: • Circular Saw • Power Drill • Jigsaw • Router • Compound Miter Saw • Table Saw • Belt Sander • Random Orbital Sander • Planer • Impact Driver • Nail Gun • Band Saw • Biscuit Joiner • Oscillating Multi-Tool
Safety is our utmost priority in this course. Before using any power tool, we will provide comprehensive safety training, covering topics such as proper handling, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe working practices.
German Master Carpenter and Wood Engineer Ulli Drews will guide you through each tool's usage, providing hands-on demonstrations, practical tips, and personalised feedback. You will have the opportunity to practice your skills under his expert supervision, ensuring that you gain the confidence and competence needed to work with these powerful tools independently.
Every participant will design and build their own, individual piece of furniture.
Each class will only have 4 people joining to ensure enough time and opportunity for personal practice and room for individual questions. The classes are in English and Cantonese.
Workshop fee: HK$2800 (All included)
We will also keep the Basics class running parallel to the intermediate class, so everyone has the chance to join.
Minimum age: 18 years!
