This large scale painting was created as the culminating project for the 10th grade PBL in 2022. The driving question, "What current day conditions could lead to new world conflict?" was interpreted by the students in terms of conflicts they feel strongly about. Inspired by Picasso's "Guernica," which was painted in response to the bombing of civilians in the Spanish Civil War, students learned the techniques of the Cubist movement Picasso helped to found. Working in groups to complete pieces based on shapes found in "Guernica," the pieces can be rearranged like a puzzle. In their  classes, students learned about various conflicts in World History and other aspects related to war such as propaganda (in World Lit. and Spanish), nuclear chemistry (in Chemistry), and  volumes related to the shapes (in Geometry). When viewers download the HaloAR app, they can scan different spots on the painting and view students' video artist statements.
