Attending Charles R. Drew Charter School in Atlanta, Georgia has been a meaningful and inspiring experience for me. The school creates a positive and welcoming environment where students are encouraged to grow both academically and personally. The teachers are supportive and dedicated, always pushing us to do our best while making learning engaging and fun. I’ve enjoyed being part of programs that focus on science, the arts, and leadership, all of which have helped me discover my strengths and build confidence. At Drew, I’ve made strong friendships and felt like part of a community that truly cares
For the final AP exam, we had to create a game. I decided to do a flashcard game, and I utilized many things I learned throughout the year including lists, for loops, and if statements.
This is a code snippet of a practice performance task we did during the first semester. By drawing shapes and text, we were able to make a short story, mine specifically being about the only square in a world of circles
I think that different cultural and historical contexts would've shaped the discoveries around the periodic table by naming elements differently and establishing different ways to group elements. For example, Antoine Lavoisier, who compiled the original 33 substances he believed to be elements, came up with just a naming system. But if a woman might've discovered it, or someone in Asia or the Americas, there might've been a different naming system, or a different design for the periodic table.

I chose Banksy as my artist because of his use of street art to convey powerful messages, while also being visually appealing. My artwork reflects his influence through its unconventional approach and design. I created a club with a bricked-over front wall, inspired by Banksy’s use of urban environments and barriers, with holes punched through the wall to show glimpses into the hidden club, which is based on the idiom “hole in the wall”. This contrast between obstruction and exposure symbolizes hidden culture breaking through societal walls. During the editing process, I changed the amount of holes and the inside of the club emphasize this contrast and to reflect Banksy’s gritty, rebellious aesthetic.
For the ChemVAS typography, I had to create the letters ChemVAS using elements of art and chemistry. I had to learn how to use transparent images, and use other aspects of sketchpad to effectively design it. My art uses elements like shape, color, texture and lines. For principles of design, I used patters, repetition, and emphasis. I liked how we were able to be creative, but I also would've liked some more constraints because I was unsure on what was good enough. I can apply these tools in the future so that I can become a better digital artist.
This piece utilizes a key part of art and arrangements, which is the 'farther' away the object is, the lighter the shade will be.
In World History, we had to make a video talking about an economic philosopher, which was John Stuart Mill.
For the Shaping our World PBL project, we had to film a video that tells a story of an ancient civilization, and our group picked Rome.
