For my project, I decided to make a mini journal. It is related to chemistry because you blend the recycled paper to make cellulose which is a chemical bond. This is helping the environment because I used recycled materials (paper) to make it. I used a variety of colors when making the paper, and included in the book. I used multiple colored paper to blend together. My pages in the journal are also different colors on each sheet. To make this, I ripped up sheets of paper and put it in a blender with a 50/50 paper water ratio. After everything was blended together and smoothly, I put it in a container wit some water. I sifted out the paper with a screen, and placed it out to dry. After all of my sheets were completely dry, I  cut them into squares and connected them with yarn. Something that was a little difficult  was trying to figure out how to make my paper lay flat.  Something I would do differently is to use brighter colors. I liked this project because I learned the process of making paper.

 In chemistry, we have been discussing the different types of bonds. These bonds include ionic, covalent, and metallic. Covalent bonding is responsible for the bonding of dyes and paints to papers, fabric, etc. My art above shows the covalent molecule is Dopamine. I chose to do this because it was cool and it was something that I haven't learned about yet. My art shows an emoticon with heart eyes. I chose to do this specifically because dopamine plays a role in how people feel pleasure. I created this by drawing by drawing an emoji with the molecule formula as hair.

For my final molocule design, my element was H2O (water). With that being said, I decided to make a snowflake. One example of a principal design used to create this was repitition. To make this I used tinker cad. Engineers use TinkerCad.

Expert Workshop
For our "change is going to come" painting, my group chose womens rights. In our artwork, we showed different things that could represent women like a face, grl pwr, gender signs etc. This relates to Picassos Guernica painting becuse his painting is bringing awarnenes and showing a war that is going on, and our painting shows things about women.

Computer Animation Stop Motion

For this assignment, we used matrices to make a transformation of an object. My object choice was a trumpet. In the animation, you can see the 8 different transformations.

Design

From our research, we found out that fins are built on the rocket to minimize drag (air resistance) and to provide stability and control. So we included that into our rocket.

We also wrapped foil around the top to decrease the shockwaves made. Helps prevent air from slowing it down.

y=16^2+64x

We made this calculation by using this equation to find the height .

The trigonometric way of finding the height was multiplying 90 by tan(30) and then adding the height of the person who calculated the angle.
